Center for Global Development

This summer I interned at the Center for Global Development, an independent think tank that focuses on international development. I assisted in evaluating an Indian conditional cash transfer program that incentivizes giving birth in a health facility. Through my internship, I was able to interact with prominent health economists, public health experts, and other professionals who work in the field of global health. I also enjoyed attending seminars organized by the program that allowed me to interact with agencies such as USAID. Both the hard skills and the soft skills that I have learned in D.C. will be invaluable in helping me to get started with a career in international development.

In the future, I plan to pursue a graduate degree in health policy. I intend to work on strengthening the health systems in developing countries and providing evidence to inform sound policy-making.
