NASA Office of Technology, Policy, and Strategy

This summer I interned at NASA Headquarters within the Office of Technology, Policy, and Strategy (OTPS) to provide analyses and advice on cross-center, multi-mission directorate, and White House space priorities. More specifically I led and/or contributed to three main projects: Futures Roundtables, Moon-to-Mars tradespace visualization, and Space-based Solar Power. The Futures Roundtable Series was especially insightful and impactful, as I had the opportunity to host a virtual session to collect live input from interns agency-wide on the future of NASA and the space industry, which will be incorporated in NASA's 2040 Strategic Plan. I also conducted research on emerging national space agencies and presented "Climate Observation on Persistent Platforms" to my office and earth observation experts to support OTPS' Space Infrastructure & Logistics efforts.
