Center for Global Development

This summer I worked at the Center for Global Development, primarily on international education policy. During my time at CGD I was involved in two main projects under the education group, an education grant from the Department for International Development (UK) and a small domestic study on charter schools. As a mechanical engineer, my experiences at a development think tank forced me to step outside of my comfort zone on a daily basis. I learned a great deal about econometrics and data synthesis and was able to turn what I learned around and see how those tools influenced policy. Beyond the 9-5, DC is an amazing city filled with history, art, good food, and a ton of other interns making for a great summer!
