This summer I worked in the Solar Energy Technologies Office of the U.S Department of Energy. My project was an analysis of thermal desalination technology as a target application for concentrated solar power (CSP) systems. This involved researching the current technologies for desalination and their economics and analyzing possibilities for integration of solar power.
