World Bank Group

I spent this summer working at the World Bank's Transport GP. I did a study on how computer vision tools can be used for road safety audits. I also travelled to Sierra Leone, in a World Bank mission, to conduct field research on the pilot of an open-source and low cost fare collection system for public transport modes.

Overall the internship was an amazing learning experience. I learnt how there are multiple dimensions of problems in the transport sector, their practical solutions and how they are approached in a practical setting. I also received some insight into what International Development work entails.
